Huge congratulations to right back Oscar Radcliffe who has been named the ‘Irwell Works Brewery’ Ramsbottom United player of the month for September.

Oscar started in all five of our games during September and was solid on the right hand side of a back five. Radcliffe put in some quality performances and was a real standout player in what was a poor month for the Rams in terms of results. It wasn’t just the defensive work rate that won the young local lad the award but also his ability to get forward and join the Rams attack.

The right back received this award before the Skelmersdale defeat on Saturday 15th October at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium from Ramsbottom United supporters club members Darren Comer and Andy Spensley.

Oscar told the website that he is “delighted to have picked up the player of the month award for September. It was a tough month for us as a squad, but we’ve got more than enough ability in the squad to kick on now after a good start to October”.

Once again congratulations to Oscar Radcliffe who received the trophy and the keg of ales from the Ramsbottom based brewery.
