COMPETITION: Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round
DATE: Saturday 19th August 2023
KICK-OFF: 3pm
DISTANCE FROM RAMMY: 21 Miles, 35 Minutes

ADMISSION:

OVERVIEW:
Rammy come into this one off the back of a draw at home to West Didsbury and Chorlton where they displayed a real Jekyll and Hyde performance with them being absolutely brilliant in the first half, going into the break 2-0 up and then conceding two in the second 45 to end up with only a point from the fixture.

However, despite the result it will act as a massive learning curve for the Rams and supply them with real hunger and determination to get the win in this one and progress to the next round of the competition.

Although, progressing is much easier said than done with tomorrow’s opponents being in the division above ourselves. It’s going to be a difficult task to be able get the win but the Rams won’t be lacking any belief and will be sure to give their everything in order to try and succeed.

Steve Wilkes’s men will be hoping they will be much more match fit than their opponents with Mossley only being a week into their league campaign. Mossley started that week amazingly though, beating Prescott Cables in their opener last Saturday but then fell to defeat on Tuesday night as they travelled to Witton Albion.

This game should be an absolute cracker with both clubs being eager to progress into the next round!

MANAGERS THOUGHT’S:
“We go into this one as the underdogs, so we are going to go out there and enjoy it. There’s a few players who haven’t got the minutes we would have liked so far so we will be making sure that they get minutes too.

“We’ve been working on getting one or two more players through the door so hopefully we will have those available to us as well. It’s a cup tie so we’ll give it our all and see what we can do and test ourselves against a team in the league above”.
