Ramsbottom Unitd has completed the signing of 22 year old goalkeeper Harry Turner and everybody at the club is absolutely thrilled to have him here.

Harry did a scholarship with Fleetwood Town until the age of 18 and since then has played for Ashton United and his last club Bacup Borough. In between these two clubs, the stopper has also had spells abroad playing for Swedish side Ytterhogdals IK.

Harry said of his signing that he was “buzzing and really excited to get going and really looking forward to the opportunity this season”. He also acknowledged the fact that the boots of fan favourite Tom Stewart would be hard to fill but “can’t wait to push on and get the season underway”.

Manager Lee Donafee said, “Harry is a player that we had watched last season but with the form that Tom Stewart was in it was a no brainer that we kept Tom last year, but Harry has done nothing but impress us in training and I’m delighted that we were able to bring him in”.
