Ramsbottom United have completed the signing of Italian forward Temiloluwa ‘Temi’ Ajibola.

Temi has been on Trial with the Rams for the entire pre-season turning in some impressive performances and picking up two goals so far.

The front man is only 21 years old adding to the continued youth that Lee Donafee has brought in this season. Temi was previously in the academy of Italian outfit Parma FC.

The young striker has been a standout player in pre-season grabbing two goals away at Ashton as well as registering the assist in the one nil win at home to Bury, however, it’s not just goals and assists that he brings to the team, he has been superb in holding the ball up whilst allowing his teammates to push up the pitch and his link up play has been sensational.

Upon signing for the club Ajibola said: “I can bring positivity and good communication skills in the team.

“I was attracted to the environment, my team mates and the great support of the staff.

“I think it will be a good season and I believe that with this team we can aim high, my personal goal is to score as many goals as possible to help the team”

Temi has recently moved to Greater Manchester to study, manager Lee Donafee is happy with where he’s ended pre-season.

“We felt after a tough start for Temi, a bit of confidence and coaching we could improve him and that’s exactly what’s happened with Temi and credit to him as he’s got better by the games.

“It became a no brainer to sign him on and as a management we feel Temi will be a valuable addition to the squad.

“Temi has settled in really well and I think his outing in games have proved this.”
