With the new season coming up, and pre-season fixtures beginning next week, everyone at RAMSBOTTOM UNITED is looking forward to what will hopefully be an uninterrupted season after the frustrations of the last two campaigns.

As the team looks to finally achieve it’s promotion ambitions on the pitch, much needs doing off it.

As is always the case at non-league clubs, volunteer help is essential as most spectators who turn up on a Saturday afternoon and Tuesday evening will be unaware of what is required to stage a game.

There is work to do down at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium every day of the week, and this, of course, intensifies on match days with so many other duties to perform.

“Rammy” like all other clubs at this level, relies upon the goodwill of those supporters who actively become involved with the running of the club.

There are many forms of assistance, be it working on the pitch and stadium throughout the week, or assisting with the smooth running on matchdays, from stewarding to catering.

Help is needed and appreciated whether it’s a case of having a spare hour or a spare day. The more volunteers available means less stress and an easier way of running the club, and the added value for all volunteers is the fact that they are connecting more with the club they are supporting.

So as the Rams prepare for the new season in the West Division of the Pitching In Northern Premier League, anyone who feels they can give whatever time and skill they have to assist the club is encouraged to do so, in the knowledge that their contribution will assist the club with their ambition of moving up the non-league pyramid.

If anyone would like to discuss the options, could they please ring Chairman Harry Williams on 07849 686374.
