RAMS WIN IN FINAL PRE-SEASON OUTING

Rammy Women’s final pre-season was against Chadderton Women at Top Park on another very warm Sunday afternoon.

Although ‘the Ewes’ had several chances in the first half they were all denied by Chadderton’s keeper who had an excellent game. It was not until early in the second half that the deadlock was broken when Rachel “Ruby” White played Nicole Duffy through and she strode forward to score her first goal for the club.

A change in formation to three at the back allowed Rachel Daniels to play further up the field and it proved a profitable change as she provided the assists for Rammy’s second and third goals. She sent a lovely cross from the right to Nicole Duffy who put the ball emphatically into the roof of the net from close range and then played the ball to Alyssa Woods who scored a well-struck goal from the edge of the box.

With a good win to finish pre-season the team can go into their inaugural league season full of confidence. Player of the Match: Nicole Duffy
