We are delighted to announce that defender Oscar Radcliffe has been voted as the Ramsbottom United supporters player of the season.

Oscar was the leading appearance maker during the course of the season, making a staggering 39 appearances in all competitions, 34 of which were starts and five appearances from the bench.

Radcliffe was extremely impressive in what has been a disappointing season for us and his ability to be so versatile, playing positions such as right back, right wing back and most recently centre half has been appreciated by fans, staff and all his team mates.

Oscar also managed to get on the scoresheet in his debut season with us when he scored our only goal in the defeat away at Widnes back in November. The young defender has been able to win over the hearts of the Rammy faithful due to his drive, commitment and constant 100% work rate and dedication. He has most definitely become a fans favourite.

“I’m delighted to have been voted player of the season”, said Radcliffe. “It’s been a very challenging year but one I’ve learnt a lot from personally. I would just like to thank those who voted for me and also to those who have supported us continuously throughout the season.

“There has been plenty of positives in the last couple of months and we are definitely building towards something good next season. I hope everyone has an enjoyable summer”.

Once again everyone associated with the club would like to wish Oscar a huge congratulations on this award and thank him for his fantastic performances throughout this difficult campaign.
