Manchester United charity match

Ramsbottom United XI v Manchester United XI with proceeds to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary.

Sunday 19th July sees a treat for both Ramsbottom United and Manchester United fans.

Former players of both clubs will be lining up against each other at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium (kick off 2pm) in a charity match, with half the proceeds going to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary.

For the Rams supporters, it will be a chance to reacquaint themselves with some of their favourites from yesteryear, whilst those of a red and white persuasion will be able to greet, at close range, a number of former players who not only turned out at Old Trafford, but for other clubs in the EFL.

Amongst those likely to be wearing the Man U shirt are Lee Martin, Wes Brown, Ben Thornley, Keith Gillespie, Danny Webber, Chris Eagles and Russell Beardsmore, with one or two surprise guests.

An excellent way to prepare for the upcoming season with a glance back at some of those who made previous campaigns so entertaining.

Admission is CASH ONLY on the turnstile – £10 adults, with £5 concessions.
