Name: Mark Ayres

Yellow cards: 14
Red cards: 1
Seasons: 3 – 2011/12 to 2014/15

How did you come to join Ramsbottom United?
I joined Rammy the night after a FA Cup game that I played against Rammy for Salford City in September 2011. Rammy won the game 2-1 and I stayed behind in the bar with the Rammy lads and agreed to sign that night!

Rammy highlight?
Highlight has to be for me winning the North West Counties League in 2012.

Favourite game?
There have been so many, it is hard to choose just one!

Rammy lowlight?
Absolutely no question, missing out on the play-offs in the Northern Premier League in our first season in it at Skelmersdale when they scored twice late on, their winning coming deep into injury time.

Best player you played with?
Wodge (Danny Warrender) and Gaz Stopforth.

Player to avoid on the pitch?
Robbo – he was a horrible git, elbows everywhere and always leaves one on the defenders and that was just in training..

Funniest moments?
Coach journeys in the FA Vase and the FA Cup. Also the journey down to Newquay, basically the whole trip was brilliant.
