HENRY JOINS COACHING STAFF

by | May 29, 2025

Rob has previously worked as an assistant manager at Lancaster City, FC United and Bootle.
We are thrilled to announce that Rob Henry has today joined our coaching team ahead of our new 2025/26 campaign.

Rob has played over 450 games in non-league for Lancaster City, Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Kendal Town, with a short stint with us in 2018 under Mark Fell before returning to Lancaster.

A UEFA A License coach, with good experience both in the professional and non-league game, Rob has previously worked as an assistant manager at Lancaster City and FC United of Manchester before joining Bootle in October last year.

“I am excited to join the management set up at Ramsbottom United,” said Henry.

“To work with Steve and Andrew, two people I know well, and build upon the good work from last season. Rammy is a fantastic club and I am relishing the opportunity to support and develop the team with the staff to achieve our ambitions this season.”

Manager Steve Wilkes was excited to welcome Rob to the club.

“Really pleased to get Rob on board,” said Wilkes.

“I know teams from both our league and above wanted Rob, so for him to choose Ramsbottom is a big plus for the club. I’ve known Rob for a while as he’s played for me at a previous club and really looking forward to working with him in his joint assistant manager/coach role.”

Welcome to Rammy, Rob!
