It was a bit of a slow start by the Rams at Radcliffe on Wednesday evening but they grew into the game well and probably should have been level at the break with three decent chances to cancel out Boro’s 23rd minute opener.

The equaliser did come on the hour though when Harvey Whyte was on hand to steer home from 10 yards after an earlier effort was slammed against the base of the post.

A couple of late strikes from Radcliffe sealed their win but it was a very encouraging performance ahead of the season opener at Wythenshawe on Saturday.
