FA COMPETITION DRAWS

Two brand new opponents for the Rams this year.

Following this afternoon’s draw for the opening rounds of the Emirates FA Cup and the Isuzu FA Vase, we have a couple of brand new opponents to look forward to this season.

In the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round we make the trip east to Golcar United of the Northern Counties East Premier Division.

The tie is scheduled for Saturday 2nd August at their Longfield Avenue ground. There’ll be more information nearer the time but their postcode is HD7 4BT, just under 30 miles away from the HWRS on the western outskirts of Huddersfield.

We have received a bye in the First Round Qualifying of the Isuzu FA Vase meaning we enter the competition on Saturday 20th September with a home tie against Glasshoughton Welfare in the Second Round Qualifying.

Members of the Northern Counties East First Division, the ‘Hoops’, who were established a couple of years before ourselves, are from the Castleford area of West Yorkshire and will be making their first ever visit to Ramsbottom.
