The Ewes’ unbeaten run came to an end with a loss away at Cherrybrook.

After two cup games and a weekend off The Ewes were back in league action and hoping to climb the table, but it was not be.

Cherrybrook scored in the 8th minute but Rammy answered back soon after through new signing Lilly Howarth.

The home team’s pace proved a struggle for The Ewes as they scored three more goals before half time.

HT 4-1

Rammy began the second half brighter with Alyssa Woods giving them some hope with a goal on 41 minutes. However Cherrybrook regained their 3-goal lead 20 minutes later.

The Ewes continued to battle though and thought they had been rewarded when Niamh Downey’s shot looked to have crossed the line but the referee waved play-on. A few moments later Lilly Howarth got her second of the day to close the gap and further chances followed but Rammy couldn’t find the net again and suffered their first defeat since early November.
